How to Schedule TikTok Posts with posterly
Connecting TikTok
Connect your TikTok account through the Accounts page. posterly uses TikTok's official OAuth flow — you'll be redirected to TikTok to approve access. TikTok requires third-party apps to go through an approval process, and posterly is fully approved for content publishing.
Scheduling videos
TikTok is a video-first platform. In the Composer, select your TikTok account and upload your video. TikTok accepts MP4 and WebM formats, with videos up to 10 minutes long. For best results, use vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio) since that's what TikTok's feed is designed for. Add your caption (up to 2,200 characters), pick your schedule, and you're set.
Disclosure and privacy settings
TikTok's API requires disclosure settings for scheduled content. In the Composer, you can set whether your video contains branded content or paid promotions. You can also control who can view the video (public, friends, or private) and whether comments and duets are enabled. These settings are passed to TikTok at publish time.
Captions and hashtags
posterly's AI generates TikTok-optimised captions — short, punchy, and hashtag-rich. TikTok's algorithm relies heavily on hashtags for content discovery, so the AI suggests trending and niche-relevant hashtags based on your video description and target audience.
